Marionville man charged with child sex crimes

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. — A Lawrence County man is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl he met on Facebook.

Dagon Wallace, 20, is charged with statutory rape, child endangerment, furnishing pornographic material to a minor, and tampering with evidence in a felony. The charges come after a young girl snuck out of her house last summer and met with Wallace.

Children's Division notified Lawrence County officials last November. That's when they conducted a forensic exam on the girl and she told them she went willingly to Wallace's house in Marionville in July of last year where he gave her alcohol and marijuana.

But she told officers she was subjected to nonconsensual sex while she was incapacitated. Authorities say they found evidence of Wallace sending pornographic videos of himself to the girl on the girl's phone.

According to court records, Wallace had deleted all the messages between them from his phone. He's being held in the Lawrence County Jail without bond. His arraignment is scheduled for January 6.
