Employee dies after industrial accident at Springfield steel fabricator

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — An employee at a Springfield steel fabricator facility was killed after a work-related accident on Thursday afternoon.

According to Cris Swaters with the Springfield Police Department, the industrial accident at Doing Steel involved one man who was killed. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures at the scene.

Swaters says there is no criminal investigation.

Doing Steel is located on North Golden in Springfield and specializes in commercial construction projects, according to its website.
