JOPLIN, Mo. — Beginning Tuesday, part of St. Louis Avenue in Joplin will be closed for stormwater improvements.
Crews will begin replacing the box culvert and stormwater infrastructure on the north side of the railroad crossing from 8th Street to Campbell Parkway. The City of Joplin said residents will maintain access to their homes, but traffic can expect a detour.
D & E Plumbing is the contractor for the work, the city added.
Drivers are asked to be cautious in the area with active crews and seek alternate routes.
