ST. LOUIS - The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis hosted a free COVID-19 vaccine event on Saturday.
This event took place at the Urban League headquarters on North Kingshighway. It was designed to help protect the community during the winter season by offering COVID-19 vaccinations at no cost.
"We understand that the threat of COVID is real," said James Clark, Vice President of Public Safety for the Urban League. "Many of our residents think that it has actually subsided, but its still a very real threat, and we're all at risk. So we wanted to partner with the People's Health Center and the City of St. Louis to make the vaccine available at the neighborhood level."
As an added incentive, participants also received a schnucks gift card while supplies lasted.
