Property owners around Ballwin are grabbing ice melt and shovels as they brace for another taste of winter.

St. Louis residents are in the eye of the blizzard, stuck between ice clean-up from last weekend’s storm and preparing for the next round of snow set to be dumped across the city as early as Thursday night.

Some shoppers are saying they’re relieved they planned ahead for this weekend’s snowstorm, while others admit they wish they’d done the same before last weekend’s storm.

Even as this weekend’s storm is expected to be lighter, residents are making sure they’re prepared. Hardware store shelves are being cleared of essentials like ice melt, salt, shovels, and even small snowplows.
