JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – A 16-year-old girl died in a crash in Jefferson County around 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the driver went off the right side of Sunrise School Road in De Soto, hit an embankment, and was thrown from their Ford Ranger.
A 15-year-old passenger also has minor injuries.
EMS pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Police say neither teens were wearing seatbelts.
