FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. – A man from Pacific was killed in a crash in Franklin County Saturday evening around 6 p.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol say the 45-year-old man was on a dirt bike going west on Missouri 100. At the same time, a white SUV was going east and attempted to turn left to get on to I-44 West.
The SUV’s front left side struck the dirt bike, sending it off the road. The bike hit a bridge rail and the rider was thrown from the overpass and landed on I-44 below him.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Team are investigating.
The initial crash report stated the driver of the SUV left the scene. It also says the 1990 dirt bike did not have any lights.
