Pedestrian dies after hit-and-run in Forsyth
A man from Forsyth is dead after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident on Friday, Jan. 17.
FORSYTH, Mo. -- A man from Forsyth is dead after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident Friday night.
According to the MSHP crash report, at around 8 p.m., the 64-year-old pedestrian was hit by an unknown vehicle traveling west on US Highway 160. The vehicle then fled the scene.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Taney County Coroner. The next of kin have been notified of his passing.
This is MSHP Troop D's second fatality in 2025.
