NEWBURG, Mo. -- Across the Ozarks, we have seen snow and ice weighing down trees thanks to Sunday's winter storm.
Crews in Phelps County were called out to a residence on Highway T in Newburg on Sunday, Jan. 5 after a tree fell onto a house. The tree put a hole right through the roof and significantly damaged the residence.
According to the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District, it was too dangerous for the homeowners to get up and cover the hole in the roof, so they helped them secure a tarp over the large hole.
