Police seek help in identifying robbery suspect in Gravois Park

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Metropolitan Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for a robbery in the Gravois Park neighborhood last week.

According to police, a man walked into the tobacco shop Get Plugged in the 2600 block of Cherokee St. just after 9 a.m. on Dec. 27. He pulled a gun on the cashier, demanding money and cigarettes.

He then fled the scene with the stolen items.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, and between 5 feet 9 inches tall and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build.

In the surveillance video, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black mask, a dark blue zip-up jacket that had a fleece-lined hood, black pants, and Jodan 7 Retro "Citrus" tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact a SLMPD detective at 314-444-2500 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous and potentially receive a reward.
