KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Travis Kelce has accumulated a boatload of accomplishments in his football career and will look to add to the list as the Kansas City Chiefs begin their playoff quest.

The 35-year-old tight end's regular season production has tailored aff the last two seasons, but it's this time of the year where he shines the brightest.

And while Kelce is in the backend of his career, he says he still has plenty left in the tank as the Chiefs vie to become the first NFL team to three-peat.

"I'm fired up, I'm feeling 22 all over again baby, lets go!" Kelce said on the Pat McAfee show, paying homage to his girlfriend Taylor Swift's song "22."

"I'm ready to rock and roll and man. The biggest thing for me is trusting coach [Andy] Reid man. He's being doing this a long long time.

The Chiefs will be itching to play as they've acquired plenty of rest, with many of the starters having not played since Week 17.

Kelce continued to credit Reid for the Chiefs preparedness on a weekly basis and how they've sustained their long-term success and sets him apart.

"His competitiveness and his ability to challenge guys. And that's not an easy thing to do, is to challenge grown men in a way that's respectful and in a way that you can get the best out of them.

"We were in full pads, going ones vs ones last week and that's the type of competivitve practices that are going to get you ready for the playoffs."

This is familiar territory for Kelce, who has played an abundance of playoff games over the past six seasons. A win for the Chiefs will Kelce in his seventh straight AFC Championship game, a testament to the longevity of his career and the Chiefs dynasty.

The Chiefs kickoff against the Houston Texans on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
