Most of the animals who can handle snow are given the option to explore.
Hugo the elephant wasn’t a big fan.
Keepers monitor their time outside and make sure they have extra enrichment indoors. For the animals who can’t go out—birds & primates for example—the keepers brought snow inside to them so they could experience it too.
