ST. LOUIS - A 14-year-old was injured at midnight on New Year's Eve after a stray bullet grazed his face.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, the shooting occurred at 12 a.m. in the 5500 block of Goodfellow in the city's Walnut Park West neighborhood.
Police said the teen felt pain in his face while walking up to his residence with a relative. The teen's relative saw an injury on his nose and took him to the hospital.
During treatment, police said it was believed the teen was struck by a stray bullet from gunfire taking place near their residence.
The teen was listed in stable condition at the hospital. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
